Fire, produce, and a room that fills up

Dinner Wed–Sun, 5.30pm till late

About the kitchen

We opened in 2019 with one grill and a blackboard. The blackboard is still there. Chef Aoife Byrne cooks what arrives that morning, which is why the menu online is a guide rather than a promise — and why regulars ask for the specials before they sit down.

What makes us, us

What sets The Long Room Kitchen apart

01

The menu changes weekly

Whatever the growers and the boats send us on Tuesday decides Wednesday's card. Nothing sits in a freezer waiting for a slow week.

02

Everything by the glass on Wednesdays

Sixty-odd bottles on the list, all of them pourable mid-week, so you can drink a Jura without committing to the whole thing.

03

Tables held for walk-ins

Six seats at the counter are never bookable. Turn up at six, you'll usually eat.

FAQ

Questions

Do you take walk-ins?
Six counter seats are held back every service. Everything else we'd recommend booking, especially Friday and Saturday.
Can you cater for coeliacs and vegetarians?
Yes — tell us when you request the table and we'll build the plates around it rather than removing things.
Is there parking nearby?
The Clanbrassil car park is a two-minute walk and free after 6pm.
